About me

I’m a geek.  I’ve been working in higher education information technology for over 32 years (resume). I started as a systems manager. My primary technical expertise is in technology infrastructure, and I have also worked on instructional technology and administrative systems.

I recently became Chief Information Officer at Western New England University; previously I was  at Baruch College for nearly 8 years as AVP of Information Technology and Deputy CIO, including a year as Interim Vice President of Information Services and CIO.  I worked to ensure we have the highest quality IT services for the community.

Before my time at Baruch I was at Drew University in a series of roles of increasing responsibility, with the role of Chief Technology Strategist when I left.

I have taken an active interest in social media and have had success with a virtual avatar that allowed me to communicate with more people than I would have otherwise.

I have a family and a house.  I have tried to make fitness (again) a priority in the last few years and frequently engage in running and cycling.

I can be found on LinkedIn, Mastodon, X/Twitter (for now), Threads, BlueskyFacebook, Tumblr, and Instagram.  If you’re really interested in me you can go to my personal site.
